The 2018 Center for the Study of Women in Television and Film report found that women accounted for 8% of directors (down 3 percentage points from 11% in 2017) of the top 250 domestic grossing films. Many in the film are also featured in Pioneers in Skirts documentary.

THE PROBLEM IS: when studios think “director” they think “male.” A cultural issue we ALL need to get past.
